As PTSD Awareness Month ends and July 4th approaches, the calls for those diagnosed with PTSD to be considered for Purple Heart medals grows louder.  We here at Landfall Productions agree.  In fact, the idea of a specific medal like the Purple Heart was the idea behind the title of our film about PTSD, “Purple Mind.”  Taking that idea one step further we thought we’d share one irreverent design suggestion for the Purple Mind.  With thanks to artist Pawel Kuczynski, here is the concept.

The traditional Purple Heart becomes the Purple Mind by replacing the bust of Gen. George Washington with an illustration from Pawel Kuczynski.
